Maybe you feel as though you are just going through the motions on the treadmill of life or you've started to get physical symptoms like pain, illness or digestive issues. You could be experiencing emotional issues, stress or anxiety. Could it be your body is trying to tell you something?

Kinesiology is a gentle yet powerful way to access your own wisdom for more clarity, calm and creative solutions that are just right for you. 
What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a modality that uses muscle monitoring to tap into the body's innate wisdom, revealing and releasing subconscious stress to return the body, mind and soul back to a state of balance. The beauty of kinesiology is that we are guided by the biofeedback of your body, so each session is perfectly tailored to your unique needs. It's holistic, meaning that it works on every level, integrating your mind, body and spirit so you can re-connect with your full potential. 

Kinesiology uses the Chinese medicine understanding of energy flow in the body and the western science understanding of health to investigate and treat the underlying cause of your symptoms, for lasting change.  By restoring energy flow, on a physiological level, there is more oxygen and nutrients available to all cells and easier excretion of toxin and waste. You may feel increased vitality, body relaxation, emotional balance and mental clarity. Kinesiology is really good for calming the nervous system and moving us out of fight/flight/freeze mode, where our body systems are functioning in survival model. With a calm nervous system energy is redirected back to digestion, healing, creative thinking and many other processes that shut down during stress. 

Kinesiology helps us identify heart of the issue so we can pin point exactly what is going on and also what you need to come back into balance. 
How do I know if Kinesiology is right for me?
People usually come to a Kinesiology consultation with symptoms like pain, anxiety, digestive issues, health conditions, sleep disturbance or feeling stuck with a particular life area. Not only do they come away seeing results (sometimes immediately; sometimes gradually) but they enjoy the emotional shift, deeper insights and understanding they get in session and the ripple effect that being in balance has on their whole life. New clients often come because of a recommendation/referral, they've heard of kinesiology and are interested to see what it is about or they've tried everything else and they are still looking for answers.

When you are taking one step forward and two steps back, there's something that needs to shift so you can get where you want to go. 
What can I expect from a session?
At the beginning of the session you will have a opportunity to share what brought you to the consultation and how you would like to feel afterwards, which may be formulated into a session goal. The priorities for the session are discussed and any emotional blocks are identified. 

During the session there will be discussion, muscle testing (which involves monitoring a muscle as you move it through it's range of movement, usually the brachioradiallis in the forearm) and various energy balancing techniques. You may be asked to hold an accupressure point, be guided through a visualisation, use goal setting techniques, or inhale an essential oil for example. There are usually periods of active participation and relaxation in each session. The kinesiology process allows us to work in partnership (it's done with you not to you) and you are encouraged to discuss any insights, sensations or shifts your experience during the session. 

At the end of the consultation we measure the shifts you've had during the session. Your goal is reviewed and there may be take home activities for you to follow up with before your next session . Appropriate referrals may be made at this point and dietary modifications or lifestyle changes are discussed. 

Is there anything I need to prepare for the session?
For best results please ensure that you are well hydrated, have eliminated distractions (phone on silent/off) and allowed yourself plenty of time to arrive/log in to Skype or get to the phone on time. 

Dress comfortably for your session so that you can relax. You will only need to take off your shoes. You may be seated, lying down on a massage table (or couch at home) or standing up for part of your session as I muscle test. For online sessions I surrogate tests for you by holding a clear intention and muscle testing myself on your behalf. I also surrogate tests like this in clinic at times, particularly with infants and young children. 
What happens when I book online?
After completing your online booking you will receive a booking confirmation email (within minutes) and then a follow up email (usually within 48 hours) with session details and a new client form to complete. This includes a detailed case history to be returned via email before the session so you get maximum Kinesiology time.


The session benefits are the same whether you book an online consult via Skype/Zoom, phone consult or see me in person. (UPDATE - due to COVID-19 currently all sessions are online/phone format). Please let me know prior to your session if there are any special requirements (such as access, language or cultural needs).
